Criminal Code charges have now been laid against a man following a stabbing in Surrey’s Whalley neighbourhood on the afternoon of September 27, 2025.

On September 27, 2025, at about 2:30 pm SPS Frontline officers responded to calls of a man with stab wounds who was found in the 10700 block of King George Boulevard. SPS officers provided emergency medical intervention to stabilize his injuries, and the victim, a man in his early 40s, was taken to hospital by BCEHS, where he remains in critical condition. Other SPS officers located and arrested the suspect, a man in his early 40s, nearby. 

Victor Vi Hoang, a 42-year-old male, has now been charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of assault causing bodily harm. He remains in custody and his next court appearance is scheduled for October 2, 2025.
