The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken over conduct of a homicide investigation in Surrey. 

At approximately 6:40 pm on March 28, 2026, Surrey Police Service (SPS) officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 15100 block of 60 Avenue, Surrey. Upon arrival, members located a man apparently suffering from gunshot wounds. BCEHS attended the scene however despite life saving efforts the man was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene. 

IHIT has now taken over the investigation and are working in partnership with SPS to complete priority investigative tasks.
