Surrey Police Service (SPS) is appealing for information from witnesses in a theft investigation.

On December 15, 2025, at approximately 2:10 pm, a suspect entered a retirement residence in the 15500 block of 16 Avenue, Surrey. Once at the residence, the suspect gained access to an apartment by portraying himself as a maintenance worker who was checking the sprinkler system. The suspect then stole the victim’s purse and left the residence.

The suspect is described as white male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and was last seen wearing dark pants, a red Under Armour brand hoodie, dark hat and glasses (see attached photo).

The investigation remains active, and police believe there may be additional witnesses. Police are releasing photos of the suspect with the hope that other potential victims, witnesses, or anyone with information will come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact SPS’s non-emergency line at 604-599-0502, and quote file number 25-111343 (SP).
