Surrey Police Service (SPS) is investigating a serious two-vehicle collision that occurred in the early morning hours of September 28, 2025, that has sent three people to hospital, two with with life-threatening injuries and a third with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

On September 28, 2025, at approximately 00:56 hrs, SPS Frontline officers responded to calls of a two-vehicle motor vehicle collision on 128 Street and 65 Avenue, Surrey, where one vehicle had flipped and was on fire with two occupants trapped.

SPS officers, Surrey Fire Service, and BCEHS attended the scene. Surrey Fire Service extinguished the fire and removed the two occupants. Both were transported to hospital where they remain in life-threatening condition. The lone occupant of the second vehicle was also transported to hospital and remains there in serious condition.

SPS Road Safety Section Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) members attended the scene and have taken conduct of the investigation. The Lower Mainland District Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) have attended the scene and are assisting SPS CIU investigators. While it is still very early in the investigation, it is believed that the vehicle with the two occupants was travelling northbound on 128 Street at 64 Avenue and crossed into oncoming traffic, colliding with the second vehicle, which was travelling southbound on 128 Street. Speed is being considered as a contributing factor.

The collision scene spans the block between 64 Avenue and 65 Avenue on 128 Street and is expected to be closed to traffic for much of the day as investigators collect evidence and reconstruct the collision. Motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to find alternate routes.

SPS is asking anyone with information, including dash cam or CCTV footage, to call Surrey Police Service’s non-emergency number at 604-599-0502 and quote file 25-84954 (SP).
