Police Investigate Stabbing in Whalley

One man has been arrested and another taken to hospital in critical condition following a mid-afternoon stabbing in Surrey’s Whalley neighbourhood.
At about 2:30 pm SPS Frontline officers responded to calls of a man with stab wounds who was found in the 10700 block of King George Boulevard. SPS officers immediately provided emergency medical intervention to stabilize his injuries, and the victim, a man in his mid-30’s, was taken to hospital by BCEHS, where he remains in critical condition. While SPS officers were with the victim, other officers located and arrested the suspect, a man in his early 40’s.
SPS Frontline officers remain in the area canvassing for witnesses and evidence and Frontline Investigative Support (FLIS) Team detectives have been called in to lead the investigation. The suspect remains in custody and at this early stage charges have not yet been laid.
