Wanted - Jason Whyte

Surrey Police Service (SPS) is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted in relation to an ongoing investigation.

On April 3, 2026, at approximately 8:35 am, SPS Frontline members entered into an investigation where a male allegedly assaulted a female victim with a weapon in the 17600 block of 58A Avenue, Surrey. The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the assault.

On April 4, 2026, BC Prosecution Service approved a charge against the male suspect.

54-year-old Jason Donald Whyte is currently wanted on a British Columbia wide warrant for:

  • One count of assault with a weapon contrary to section 267(a) of the Criminal Code
