Surrey Police Service (SPS) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in an alleged sexual assault of a female youth that occurred on August 9, 2026, in Bear Creek Park.  

At approximately 8:11 pm on August 9, 2026, SPS Frontline officers responded to a report of a sexual assault in Bear Creek Park in Surrey. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the female victim who advised she was groped by an adult male and provided a description of the suspect who had fled from the area. Officers conducted extensive patrols of the park and surrounding areas but were unable to locate the suspect.  Fortunately, the victim was not physically injured.

Today, SPS is releasing images of the suspect in hopes that a member of the public may be able to identify the suspect. He is described as a South Asian male, who is approximately 5’8” tall. He was wearing a blue Adidas toque, black t-shirt, black pants and black flip flops (see attached photos).
