SPS Investigate Shots Fired at a Newton Residence

Surrey Police Service (SPS) is investigating a shots fired incident in a Newton neighbourhood.
On March 16, 2026, at approximately 11:55 am, SPS Frontline officers attended a Newton residence in the 7500 block of 126A Street, where a homeowner located bullet holes in his door and front window. Although the complainant did not hear or observe the shooting, neighbours and CCTV video confirm that the shooting occurred at approximately 4:45am.
The investigation into this incident is continuing with Integrated Forensic Identification Services (IFIS) and Frontline Investigative Support (FLIS) officers now involved.
Currently, there is no indication that this shots fired incident is connected to extortion.
