Surrey Police Service Investigating Shots Fired

Surrey Police Service (SPS) is investigating reports of shots fired involving two vehicles last night in the City Centre neighbourhood of Surrey.
On April 25, 2026, at approximately 9:03 pm, SPS Frontline officers responded to a report of gunshots exchanged between two vehicles near the intersection of 105 Avenue and University Drive. Upon arrival in the area, SPS officers located several spent shell casings. The vehicles, described as a black sedan and a white sedan, were seen speeding away. The white vehicle was also described as possibly having damage to its driver’s side windshield. Neither of the vehicles have been located and there have been no reports of any injuries.
SPS’s Major Crime Section has taken over the investigation. Detectives and other officers, including members of the Integrated Forensic Identification Services, may be back in the area today canvassing for physical and digital evidence. The motivation for the shooting is currently unknown.
