Join us for an in-person information session where you will learn all about career opportunities with SPS and what it takes to become a recruit.

This is your opportunity to meet and speak with recruiters about the application process, learn more about who we are, and find out how you can be part of a new, progressive police service.

Location: Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre

Registration and Information:
A one-day career event for current UBC students and former UBC alumni. Student and alumni registration will open in February, and you can find information about how to register at the Spring Career page at UBC. 

Date and Time: March 20 from 11am - 2 pm

Location: JIBC New Westminster, 715 McBride Boulevard

Registration and Information: 
SPS will be at the JIBC Law Enforcement Recruitment Fair to meet with prospective recruits, answer questions and give information about starting a career at SPS.

Our Recruitment team will be on site and available to meet with you and share information about how you can help build a brand new police service from the ground up.

Information Sessions

Surrey Police Service will be holding information sessions for recruits every two months. If you are interested in becoming a police officer, attending an information session is a mandatory part of your application process. You will be asked during the process to indicate which information session you attended. 

Information sessions will cover a variety of topics including, the vision. values and history of SPS, basic qualifications, what we're looking for in a candidate, the application process, realities of policing, salary and benefit information, and a period of questions and answers where you can speak to recruiters.
