Two Injured in Shooting

Surrey Police Service (SPS) and the BC RCMP Surrey Provincial Operational Support Unit (BC RCMP SPOSU) are investigating an early morning shooting that happened at 2:30 am on Sunday, December 29 outside a Newton pub that has left two people injured with non-life-threatening injuries.
At 2:30 am on Sunday, December 29, Surrey Police Service frontline officers responded to multiple calls from people outside a pub in the 8500 block 132 Street who were reporting that a large fight involving several people had escalated and two men had been shot.
The victims, both of whom were taken to hospital by bystanders, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Two suspects, described as adult South Asian men, were last seen driving away in a dark-coloured sedan.
The investigation is in its early stages and is being supported by RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit General Investigation Unit officers and the Integrated Forensic Identification Services.
