Multiple Fatalities in Patullo Bridge Collision

Surrey Police Service is advising the public that the Patullo Bridge has been closed both ways while police investigate of a three-vehicle collision on the east end of the Patullo Bridge that has resulted in three fatalities and one person being treated for life-threatening injuries.
At approximately 10:07 pm on February 14, 2025, police were advised by BC EHS of a collision involving three vehicles, two passenger vehicles and one semi-trailer truck, on the east end of the Patullo Bridge in the southbound lanes. Surrey Fire Service and BC EHS administered lifesaving measures to three occupants at the scene, but they were declared deceased at the scene. One other occupant of one of the passenger vehicles was transported to hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. At this early stage the extent of the surviving occupants’ injuries are unknown. The driver of the semi-trailer truck was unhurt and remained on scene.
Both the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) and the RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) have been called in to assist. The investigation is in its early stages and the cause of the collision is unknown.
The Patullo Bridge is currently closed to traffic both ways as police investigate. Road closures and traffic diversions will last throughout the night and likely well into tomorrow morning, February 15, 2025, as officers conduct their investigation.
