One Arrested Following Shots Fired Incident

One man has been arrested and charged with Criminal Code offences by Surrey Police Service (SPS) in connection to an overnight shots fired incident outside a Surrey residence.
At about 8:45 pm on October 26, 2025, SPS officers responded to calls of shots fired outside a residence located in the 14100 block 72 Avenue, Surrey following an alleged dispute between several individuals. SPS officers arrived and arrested a suspect who was still on scene. No one was injured in the incident and the exterior of the residence was damaged by several gun shots.
David Bruce Baxter, a 46-year-old man, has been charged with one count of attempted murder using a firearm and one count of discharging a firearm at a residence.
David Baxter remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court this afternoon.
As this matter is now before the courts, specific details cannot be provided, however, SPS can confirm that this incident is not extortion related.
