File #2025-11754 (SP)

Surrey Police Service, the RCMP Surrey Police Operations Support Unit’s Criminal Collision Investigation Team (SPOSU CCIT), and Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) are investigating an overnight single vehicle collision that has resulted in one fatality.

At approximately 10:50 pm on February 10, 2025, Surrey Police Service received reports of a single vehicle that was travelling westbound in the 12300 block 104 Avenue, Surrey and hitting a power pole. SPS Frontline officers attended and despite life-saving medical intervention by Surrey Fire Service and BCEHS, the driver, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, died on scene.

SPOSU CCIT and ICARS were called in to assist and the cause of the collision remains under investigation, but at this early stage the speed of the vehicle is thought to be the primary contributing factor.

104 Avenue was closed overnight due to the collision and BC Hydro fixing the power pole and associated wires. 104 Avenue has been reopened for traffic.

If you witnessed the collision or have any information, including dashcam footage, please call Surrey Police Service at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2025-11754 (SP).
