Police Investigate Late Afternoon Stabbing

Surrey Police Service is investigating a late afternoon stabbing in Surrey’s Whalley neighbourhood that has sent one man to hospital in critical condition with serious injuries.
Shortly before 4 pm a man entered the Surrey Police Service’s District 1 office located on the southeast corner of King George Boulevard and 107A Avenue with serious stab wounds to his torso. SPS Frontline officers immediately provided emergency medical intervention, and the man was taken to hospital by BCEHS, where he remains in critical condition.
SPS officers located what is believed to be where the stabbing happened in the 10600 block King George Boulevard. While searching for evidence and witnesses, officers located a person of interest and took them into custody. At this early stage it is unknown if there are any outstanding suspects.
SPS Frontline officers remain on scene canvassing for witnesses and evidence and Frontline Investigative Support Unit detectives have been called in to assist with the investigation.
