On March 3, 2025, at approximately 5:25 pm, Surrey Police Service (SPS) Frontline officers responded to calls of a shooting near the 7900 block 120 Street, Surrey.

SPS officers attended the area and located the driver of a vehicle suffering life-threatening injuries. Despite life saving measures, one man succumbed to his injuries at scene.

At approximately 5:35 pm, Delta Police Department officers responded to calls of a vehicle fire in the area of 64 Avenue and Westview Drive, Delta. Police are investigating whether this vehicle is connected to the shooting.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has now taken conduct of this investigation. This is Surrey’s first homicide of 2025.

The investigation is in the early stages and IHIT is working in partnership with Surrey Police Service, RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit, and Delta Police Department officers to complete priority tasks.
