Two Men Charged in Surrey Shooting
Two men have been charged in a shooting that happened late on Tuesday, March 11, that resulted in injuries to a man.
At approximately 11:15 pm on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, police received reports of several shots fired in the 15100 block of 33 Avenue, Surrey. RCMP SPOSU members attended the scene and located one man suffering from gunshot wounds. RCMP SPOSU Gang Enforcement Team members located a suspect vehicle in the area and arrested two men with the assistance of Integrated Police Dog Services (IPDS). RCMP SPOSU Serious Crime Unit is the lead unit overseeing the investigation.

Mitchel Iyama, a 24-year-old male, has been charged with:
- Attempted murder using a firearm for the benefit of a criminal organization,
- Flight from peace officer, and
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
Isaiah Avery John, a 21-year-old male, has been charged with:
- Attempted murder using a firearm for the benefit of a criminal organization.
Both Mitchel Iyama and Isaiah John remain in custody and are awaiting their next scheduled court dates on March 19 and March 25, respectively.
