The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken over conduct of a homicide investigation after an early morning shooting in the 12500 block 91 Avenue, Surrey. 

At approximately 4:55 am on January 24, 2026, Surrey Police Service (SPS) officers responded to calls of a shooting in a residence in the 12500 block of 91 Avenue, Surrey. Upon arrival, members located two men apparently suffering from gunshot wounds. SPS officers, Surrey Fire Services and BCEHS rendered aid to the victims. Unfortunately, one man was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene. One victim was transported to an area hospital by BCEHS.

IHIT has now taken over the investigation and are working in partnership with SPS to complete priority investigative tasks.
