SPS Appeals for Witnesses and Information
File #2025-32517 (SP)
In the early morning hours of April 19, 2025, the Shree Lakshmi Narayan Mandir was vandalized by multiple suspects. Surrey Police Service (SPS) investigators were called to the scene and have since embarked on an investigation into this disturbing incident at a place of worship in the city.
On April 19, 2025, at approximately 3:00 am, suspects wearing face-coverings attended the Shree Lakshmi Narayan Mandir located in the 8300 block of 140th Street in Surrey. At this location, the suspects spray-painted multiple building pillars and a Mandir sign. The suspects were travelling in a white pickup truck believed to be a Dodge.
Today, investigators are releasing five images of the suspects and the suspect vehicle with an appeal for information and witnesses to assist the investigation. Of particular interest is any dashcam footage from the area and roadways near the Mandir between 3:00 – 3:40 am.
SPS investigators are collaborating with their Vancouver Police Department counterparts, who are investigating a similar criminal incident that occurred at Khalsa Diwan Society Gurdwara in Vancouver also on April 19.
Anyone with information about this incident or the identity of the suspects should contact the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 2025-32517 or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.solvecrime.ca.
